GPS SPEEDOMETER APP IPHONE ANDROID
It should work on most Android devices as well, but if you experience issues, please let me know and I will try to address them. GPS Speedometer was tested using a Samsung Galaxy S II and with an Acer a500 tablet, so I am confident it will work as advertised on those devices.
GPS SPEEDOMETER APP IPHONE UPDATE
Everything in this update was requested by the users, so keep them coming! This app is for you. Please leave comments or send me e-mail on what new features you would like added! As you can see, I respond to feature requests. I didn''t use Google Maps because if you want to see your location on that app, it is already on your device.
GPS SPEEDOMETER APP IPHONE SOFTWARE
The mapping software is provided by MapQuest. The map system shows your current position and is updated in real time. Tapping on your top speed will open a menu that will allow you to share your top speed via various social networks like Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, or messaging. Tapping on the word Reset in the corner will reset your top speed and distance traveled (odometer). To toggle between MPH and KPH, simply tap on the word MPH that appears after your speed. It even allows you to share your top speed over various social networks for bragging purposes. The app updates in real time, supports Imperial and Metric units, shows your current direction like a compass, displays your total distance traveled, stores your top speed, and shows your current location on the map. It works by using your device''s GPS radio and calculates your speed based on time and distance traveled.

I'll bring it with me and you can check it out.GPS Speedometer is a free and handy app that turns your Android device into a fully functional Speedometer. It's easy to copy files to the computer, delete from the tracker, and it's ready to fill up again. I think the difference is how rapidly it does a satellite/speed update so theoretically it's more accurate. Detailed takes up more space and that's what I use. It charges with a standard USB cable on either a charger or computers, and appears as an external drive to copy files to HD or upload etc. As long as there is no metal shielding it it's probably OK. In Tassie one day I gave it to Jay on the Ducati and it sat in his rear seat pack. I mount is on the pushy so I can check speed etc but it sits in a pocket of my PFD when kayaking. Q3/ Can it store days and days of route/altitude or do you have to copy the data off the device and format or erase the data to use the next time? I guess this is a question about the memory space it consumes. Q2/ Can you recharge your 310 with a USB cable? Or need a seperate, dedicated charger? Q1/ Does it have to mounted on the bike with a clear vision of the sky for GPS tracking to work OR can I leave it in my pocket or in a saddlebag?
